Rostelecom put in charge of video control at Sep 9 Duma elections
MOSCOW, Jul 31 (PRIME) -- The government has appointed state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom as the only company in charge of purchasing services for video surveillance and broadcasting of additional elections to the State Duma, the Russian parliament’s lower house, on September 9, according to a ruling released on the portal of legal information on Tuesday.
Heads of high executive authorities across the country are recommended to ensure access of Rostelecom’s representatives to the premises where voting will take place so that required equipment can be assembled and installed.
The Central Election Commission earlier scheduled the single day of voting of the additional elections in seven districts since corresponding deputy mandates have become vacant.
